So I am getting ready for my third wedding fayre this year.   Call me sentimental, but I love wedding fayres.   Why? I love to meet face to face couples, brides, their mums, dads, sisters and talk about their plans for the wedding day.  It is an opportunity to connect.   Weddings are so personal that personal interaction is best really.

I am so thrilled to meet a bubbly bride, big smile, bright eyes, ready to embrace all there is to organising her wedding, that special day.  All that enthusiasm and energy, they are so contagious!  Have you been dreaming about the day when you would marry?

Brides come with their friends, mum, sisters and groom.  They discuss colours, flowers and style of clothing – what is in fashion this year?  oh, yes, pale pinks and blues, but why not consider what YOU like rather than what’s on vogue?  Wearing a traditional wedding dress? Prefer an ivory colour? What about the groom?  Tweed? No, too old-fashioned? Of course, the groom has a family kilt to wear!

What about the flower arrangements, chairs cover, table centrepieces and banqueting room decor.  Draping? yes, that will make the place so dreamy.  Or you can keep it simple and understated.

How many guests? Page boy or Flower girl? oh yes, we have our children – they need to be made feeling part of it.

Let’s talk about photography – what style do you prefer?  Formal? Documentary? Black and white or colour photos?

But above all, remember, it is YOUR day, so please yourself – that’s all it matters.

And as a female photographer I have better insights of what you like on your wedding, how to make you feel comfortable and relaxed and capturing you beautifully and artistically.
